Loomulikult assotsieerub 2023. aastal selle teemaga esmalt ukrainaverd Alika laulusildade loomine Eurovisionil. Mind kui emakeeles laulvat Eesti ema puudutab see väga sügavalt. Ka mina olen nii ema kui isa poolt segavereline ja loodan koos teiega, et lõpuks ometi on lahenemas Piibli aegadest valitsenud Paabeli segadus. Kirjutatud on, et taevasse Jumala juurde ulatuva torni ehitamise takistamiseks segati keeled ära. Ohvriterohke mõistmatus kestab aastatuhandeid.
Su kõrval seisan ma – nagu sild üle vaevavete siis ma laotan end, tahaksin laulda kohkunud pagulastele, kes kardavad, et vihkame neid. Mina valin armastuse, silmsideme ja ühendatud südamed. Kultuur, see on inimene – vanaisa Asser Murutari eluraamat räägib INIMESTE MAAST.
Tänases ühiskonnas – selle sajandi peamiseks võtmesõnaks on iseäranis pärast lockdowni kogemust internet – on väga värskendav näha, tajuda ja tunda kultuuri väljaspool telefoni ja arvutit. Kultuur sillana kogukondade vahel ümbritseb meid igal sammul kõigis mastaapides.
Mu väikesed tütred on mulle õpetanud sama, mida Lydia Koidula lapsed talle: emade missioon on tuua puhast eesti keelt kõnelevad lapsed üle kogukondade-vahelise silla. Meie meloodiad, rahvariided ja -pillid veenavad abivajajaid: ka teie meloodiad kui kultuuri kandjad on teretulnud.
Igal aastatuhandel ja -kümnendil on usutud, et 21. sajandiks pole vaja enam naisi ja lapsi ohverdada, et tõestada võimatut: üks kultuur on parem kui teine. Me oleme võrdsed, käsi käes, ühtses hingamises üksteist austades. Mina usun, et viin omal alal rahvast teenides meid selle unistuse täitumisele lähemale.
Usun kogu hingest, et just kultuur võib olla sillaks rahvaste vahel. Pärast Ukraina vabadussõja algust tulid Eesti kultuuriinimesed kiiresti kokku – alguses oli sõna, on ka Vana Testamendi esimene lause – ja sündisidki ülevad heategevuskontserdid. Muusika, videoklipid Ukrainast ja ukrainlastest tekitasid metsiku ühtekuuluvustunde, millest tulenes ilmselt kogu Eesti ajaloo suurim annetus 690 000€. Valin usalduse ega meenuta, mis annetustega hiljem juhtus.
Olulisem kui rahakogumine, on nii katkude kui vennatapusõja ajal olnud kogu maailmale kultuuriloo õpetamine. Nii nagu eestlane pole soomlane ega lätlane, ei ole ka slaavi kultuur ebamäärane tont, vaid erinevad väärikad rahvad.
Kultuur ühendab austava sillana generatsioonid kui rahvuskehandi sisesed kogukonnad.
Kui vanaisa laulab igal sünnipäeval pühalikult püsti seistes nagu hümni „Tuhanded külad“, tema poeg, oma laps süles, seisab tema kõrval ja laulab seda samuti pühalikult pisarsilmil kaasa, siis sellega luuakse sild oma hõimu põlvkondade vahele. Põimime sellesse värvinguid liivlaste puhu-tuul õnnistusena, ungari hõissa-roose ja itaalia serenaade ning tajume iga rakuga, nii et DNA rapub: ei ole vaja lugematut arvu sõnu, piisab neljast salmist ja refräänist.
Noored võivad küll need laulud eneseotsingute tuules mõneks ajaks unustada, kuid nende lauldud loitsude, hümnide ja mantrate sõnad jäävad aastateks küpsema, kuni ükskord lahvatab leek, mis mõjutab uute ja uute tulevaste põlvede eestlaste otsuseid ja valikuid.
Meie ajalugu on tõestus, et kui sõdade tõttu kultuur inimesi ei ühenda, siis rahvus hukkub. Päästerõngad võivad olla ootamatult vägevad. 1956. aastal hakkas nt Võrtsjärve ääres tekkima kaluritest purjetajate kogukond. Algselt olid need vaid kalurid, kuid nõukogude okupatsiooni aja mõningaid hüvesid kasutades jõudsime 1990ndatesse, mil ühinesid Saadjärve, Pärnu, Tallina ja paljude muude randade purjetajate kooskonnad – ja seda just siin Võrtsjärve ääres.
Oluline on märkida, et kogukondade ühendajad olid professorid ning ka Muhu Väina Regati käivitas akadeemik Ülo Vooglaid. Põhjuseks oli eristumine teistest spordilaagritest – siin oli meeskondi lõimiv muusika. Igal õhtul, trotsides ilma ja sääski, kogunesid kõik lõkke ümber ja kõlasid eestikeelsed lood, mida kõik koos jöriseda said. Tänaseks on suur osa muusikatuumikust ajutiselt sellest kogukonnast eraldunud ja võib öelda, et tulemuseks on tagajärg 😀 Tavapärasest sajaliikmelisest purjetajate seltskonnast on järel vaid käputäis. Seega muusika kui kultuurikandja kaasamine võib tuua hõimusid kokku – selle kadumine võib rahvuse kustutada. 
Kui me ei sõida tasa üle silla, siis see sammaldub ja laguneb sõjardite kirsade all. Mina, eesti keeles südamekeeli puudutav ema võtan vastutuse kestmise eest.
